John Young

John is a Director within the Advisory department, with over 20 years' experience in advisory services covering business restructuring, insolvency and corporate finance. He joined the firm in July 2008.

John trained with a Big 4 firm in London, and became a Licenced Insolvency Practitioner in 2004. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and the Association of Business Recovery Professionals.

He combines his extensive specialist experience with considerable commercial knowledge having worked in both industry and practice. He is well experienced in a wide variety of sectors, most notably Real Estate and Construction, applying a pragmatic and commercial approach to his work.

Recent assignments have included advising on a number of client acquisitions, fund raising exercises and debt settlement/restructures. He acts as an appointment holder on formal insolvency appointments and has advised a large number of local and overseas clients in both solvent and insolvent situations.

John’s experience also encompasses due diligence and the acquisition/disposal of a variety of businesses, both locally and nationally funding applications, deal origination, financial investigations, economic and financial appraisals, business viability reviews and feasibility work for government bodies, private individuals and companies.
